Sorry for the minor delay of our weekly newsletter but we have been caught up with new constructive projects and got side tracked (0_0). But we are excited to issue are next newsletter :) This week we would like to focus on “creating your own style.” The fashion connoisseur Anna Wintour stated, “Create your own style. Let it be unique for yourself and yet identifiable for others.” That last sentence is very important because we all have unique styles from punk, streetwear, formal, business casual and the list goes on, but how we adapt it to our own culture is what really sets us apart while still being equal. Some people like to mix different cultures with one another while others like to keep it simple. No matter how we prepare ourselves for the world by the way we dress, we must understand that our garments showcases our character.
Nobody should want to be in a saturated market. It’s always best to stand out from the rest and have confidence in your style. Remember when something new occurs most people usually laugh in the beginning but then end up imitating the same thing they laughed at. Our team is here to stand out. We love to create cool ass clothes and care less if it doesn’t fit into the norm of practicality. There’s a market for both and we want to dip our feet into both arenas. When creating understand that your options are unlimited and break out of any box society tries to fit you in.Believe in your creativity and follow your heart.
This week we would like to focus on why the brand is more important than the product. Products can become obsolete but brands can be timeless. Every product has their life cycle, when come to the final stage of the product, the new product will then replace, however brands can be timeless. Coca-Cola, Apple, and Ralph Lauren, to name a few, have sustained for so many years, and these companies are still making profit, which proves that brands are timeless. In simple words, products can be instantly meaningful, but brands become meaningful over time. A successful brand plan starts with a vision, ideas about what the brand should represent or symbolize. The plan should also include a mission and a specific plan-of-attack that helps launch the brand. Next are goals, things you want the brand to achieve, followed by strategies that provide a road map on how to get there.
One person today who understands the emotional aspect of branding better than most is Elon Musk. With his Tesla Motors, Space X rockets and Solar City energy company, Musk doesn’t have customers, he has followers. Known as a maverick and creative genius, Musk has successfully branded himself as a globe-trotting entrepreneur who’s out to save the world by inventing brilliant products and machines that are environmentally friendly. Now we all aren’t saving the world, but having the knowledge to create a groundbreaking story behind your business will have you building a legacy in the long-run.
This week we would like to focus on controlling both your morning and your evening. From reading several articles and listening to numerous podcast’s, we would like to summarize our thoughts of a productive day. When waking up we must always begin our day in a proactive mode and not a reactive mode. Meaning stop checking emails, social media, text messages, missed calls/voicemails, etc. when you first wake up in the morning. Failure to do so will have you distracted on what you had prepared to get accomplished today because your mind would be focused on responding to others allowing you to use energy on matters that aren’t important now. Next is visualizing your success. Whether that is meditating, looking out the window, reading a book, or taking a shower, close your eyes and imagine yourself excelling and being the best you. Put yourself in situation where you shine, visualizing the best possible outcome. For others where closing their eyes and visualizing isn’t their strong suit, try jotting tasks down with pen and paper. We guarantee one of those two methods shall work in the long-run.
Throughout the afternoon and evening take incremental breaks when working on important task. This keeps you from getting bored and losing focus, increasing your brain’s function at the same time. It also forces you to reevaluate what you’re working on, ensuring that you’re going in the right direction. There is so much more to explain, but to keep it brief we would like to end it with optimizing your body. Eat, drink, breath and exercise every now and then to keep your body healthy and hydrated to perform during long hours. Remember without our bodies, we won’t get anything done, so take care of it.
This week we would like to focus on forums. This means a place, meeting, or medium where ideas and views on a particular topic can be exchanged. We believe that forums or the act of genuine conversations have somewhat faded in our realm (fashion, architecture, sports, science, education, etc.) and more generic communication has saturated our DM’s and comment sections all over the internet. Studies show that internet forums have a positive impact on life satisfaction and lead to increased involvement in communities outside the confines of the online world. Now if we all can come together to solve problems, elaborate on ideas, challenge our thoughts, and collaborate on projects, there wouldn’t be a mental pyramid of who’s better than who. For instance, if we viewed a creative individual on social media that just showcased their latest project(s), then it would be interesting to have a knowledgeable and positive conversation in the comment section critiquing one’s work and reading each other’s opinions on why they like or dislike it. Rather than placing tons of emojis and generic “that’s dope” or “this is fire” comments just to saturate that section for the creator. Remember it’s not about the quantity of the comments, it’s about the quality of them.
Our team believes that this act of exchanging ideas and views on a particular topic can not only uplift and motivate everyone’s creative energy, but it can also have a huge impact on our future as we travel and meet other creative individuals. Learning from different cultures and receiving key viewpoints from peers will help you build your own legacy.
This week we would like to focus on thoughts, actions and words. As we all are aware, thoughts are the root to any and every big idea that has been created and for future creations. Our mind is our most powerful tool known to man. We must treat all of our thoughts with respect and have full control of them at all times. Whether it’s controlling our mood, our ideas, our team or our audience, we must navigate them in the proper manner to achieve full success and happiness throughout our journey in life. Whether or not we are conscious of it, our minds are always working. Every thought we have is an energetic impulse which is constantly creating who we are and the circumstances within our lives. This means that we are each participating in the awesome process of creation with each and every thought that we have! Creation is not only something which has already happened – it is the eternal moment-to-moment manifestations of our thinking.
Now your wasting your breath and time if all you do is talk about your ideas with no action towards them. Action allows something imaginary become reality. Understand that there is no correct or wrong 1st step to take action towards your goals in life. Each positive action will manifest another one just like a domino effect and soon enough you will be checking off that goal on your list. the sooner you realize that no one else will do this for you the quicker you will improve your life. Personal responsibility is essential to improve and control your own life. Without that what you want will stay a dream or a sporadic activity/dabbling that leads to pretty much nothing in the long term.
Words have energy and power with the ability to help, to heal, to hinder, to hurt, to harm, to humiliate and to humble.” Considering the ‘powerful force’ of the words we utter, we must discipline ourselves to speak in a way that conveys respect, gentleness and humility. One of the clearest sign of a moral life is right speech. Perfecting our speech is one of the keystones of mature people. Before speaking take a few moments to contemplate what you will say and how you will say it; while considering the impact they will have on the listener/s. Our words tell our story and that story lives on forever.
